About me!

I am MariLupe Perez! I am 5'4 and based in Chicago. I am a trained actor and a trained voice actor.

I am Mexican American, bilingual, queer, and I really really love cats and the color red!

I have always been fascinated with voice acting since I was a kid. I watched a lot of animations and shows that inspired me. I went to Columbia College Chicago, training in Acting and voice acting. Graduated with a bachelors in Art. I have done performances for open mics, plays, and recordings for audio dramas. I have taken voice-over for narration, animation and Interactive Gaming with Deb Doetzer, Brad Grusnick, and Angela Morris. I enjoy doing a bit of everything and having fun!

Why I do what I do!

I have always loved expressing myself- from the moment I started to speak, I couldn't stay quiet. I would make voices for my pets, giving them their personalities, and my mom would look at me like I was crazy. Even when I didn't speak, my actions spoke louder (hence why I do acting and plan to publish books in the future). I didn't have the best upbringing, but despite many disadvantages from growing up with immigrant parents, it never held me back from being me and embracing myself. I want to continue being me while representing my family, my Mexican community and the LGBTQ+ community. En verda, yo soy como la flor. Siempre creceré! Y como dice mi mama, querer es poder!
